Cloud Networking Benefits Healthcare Sector

Based on the latest figures from McKinsey & Company, healthcare is responsible for alost 18 per cent of the gross domestic product of the United States. Around 11 per cent of the total workforce in the entire country is employed under the healthcare sector. Despite this, the industry is not the fastest when it comes to shifting to digital technologies such as services by Rend Tech Associates which provides cloud computing to health institutions. It is only recently that medical organizations are trying to cope up with the different digital solutions already available for patients, care providers and everyone who support their journey to wellness.

In order to adopt with the changing industry, there is a pressure to utilize the latest technologies such as cloud-based networking in order for healthcare providers to record and share data seamlessly. This is while ensuring that the privacy of the clients and the patients are not compromised based on the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act or HIPAA.

For instance Harbin Clinic is located in 21 different branches all over the northwestern part of Georgia. They have an existing IT network but it is already on the verge of collapsing. This is because the traffic is higher compared to the capacity of the network which was developed many years ago. As the years pass by, the essential medical equipment goes offline more often than acceptable. According to Ernest Staats, the senior officer in charge of the security and network administration, he went to Harbin to investigate and found that the network clearly needs to be replaced.

The same problem is plaguing the nonprofit Mosaic which offers services to adults and children alike as well as seniors requiring special needs. Their system integration manager, Daniel McDonald, said that the entire network is quite a nightmare to use. They have no central network but each of the branches has their separate infrastructure. In between 36 different locations of Mosaic, being able to communicate with the main branch in Nebraska has proven to be a challenge.

These are just a few examples of why Rend Tech Associates is now considered as one of the most relevant company in the industry. It is the bridge between medical organizations and patients.
