It’s becoming more and more common for a beach villa in Thailand to play witness to weddings in the area, with the country becoming one of the world’s most notable wedding destinations.
One hotel, in particular, has been recognized by the International Hotel Awards 2017 as the “Best International Wedding Venue Hotel”. This hotel is the Nai Yang Beach’s seafront Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa. Located at the northwestern coast of Phuket, received the award during the gala ceremony held in London’s Savoy Hotel in December 4,2017.
The hotel opened back in the summer of 2016, and had a successful year in 2017, with the award capping it off and sealing the good results of the year. The Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa was named at the Asia Property Awards 2017 as “Thailand’s Best Wedding Venure” and “Asia’s Best Wedding Venue”, which made it qualified for the “Best International Wedding Venue” for 2017, which it then won later in the Grand Final event.
General Manager David Ippersiel, Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach, says in behalf of the hotel that they are glad to received the “Best International Wedding Venue Hotel” award, with International Hotel Awards considered as the one that sets the bar for the industry so, for the hotel to receive the award, it was exciting for them.
He says that, when the resort launched in 2016, they knew that they had something unique to offer the wedding and honeymoon market, with prime placement in a sandy beach known for its beautiful sunsets. The hotel also has a team of event planners, which made it one of the best destinations for tropical weddings. If the International Hotel Awards is any indication, it is the ultimate destination.
The Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach has a wide range of options for weddings, from the more local Thai weddings to more Western weddings or fares more akin to those in Asia. The hotel even has a beach villa in Thailand option, for couples to relax in after tying the knot.
